Maybe it wasn’t an NHL play of game, but who doesn’t love a good street hockey game! Huge thanks to Jourdan Meinen for initiating a family friendly game of street hockey on a Saturday morning in March. She applied to have Louisa Street closed for a few hours. Kitchener city staff dropped off orange barriers to block off the street for safety, then kids and adults took over!
Several neighbours helped out with getting cookies and coffee from neighbourhood businesses that we love; cookies from Ce Food Experience and coffee from Smile Tiger – THANK YOU for being great neighbours!
Disappointed you missed this year? Don’t make the same mistake next year – Jourdan welcomes other neighbours to join the party – organizing party, that is! Get in touch with Jourdan to help out. See you around the neighbourhood.
