Summer is the perfect time to decorate your yard and your street!
Kathy Mortimer made this Dekay Street bunting and is encouraging other neighbours to make one too – for your street. You can use it for any street or alley parties you might host in the neighbourhood. They could even be sewn together to make a giant neighbourhood bunting.

Kathy will host a sewing party with a few sewing machines and sergers at the W.A.L.E.S portable (19 Braun Street – behind Extend-a-Family on Moore Ave).
Saturday June 9 @ 2pm – 5pm.
Bring a sewing machine or serger is you have one, some old material (old bed sheets or pillow cases work well). Anyone can learn to make these. Or you can assist by making letters.
Drop-in is fine, no need to attend the full time!
Also, some plans from the Breithaupt Block Phase Three development will be available at the sewing party and the potluck.
Saturday June 9 is also the last Second Saturday potluck before it breaks for the summer.
Don’t worry, you can carry on with some potluck love at the Guelph Street Community Garden over the summer – every Wednesday in July & August @ 6pm in the Uniroyal Goodrich Park, Guelph Street beside the Spurline Trail.
