If your house had a formal name, what would it be?

I travelled around England recently and was reminded again how almost every house has a name, in addition to its street number address.

Marlborough House, Rose Cottage, Selwyn Flats, Leicester Manor,… your get the idea. They were usually named after the person who built them or a landscape feature of the area.

Which is why I love that the ‘Historic Balwey Manor’ sits happily tucked in our midtown neighbourhood. The name is a combination of two last names. And the house name is official, it’s legit!

I’m still trying to come up a fitting name for my house. Do you have one for your home? Leave a comment below to share your house name, if you could have one! I’m curious….
