New art in the neighbourhood

Take a walk to the corner of Duke and Shanley streets and you will find an eight foot tall fence around the Electrohome property. But this fence will have beautiful neighbourhood art!

The fence is going to be around the site for at least two years while the developer goes through the design process and environmental clean up.

Neighbours responded enthusiastically to Catherine’s ‘call for artists’ and the project will see almost 20 art panels mounted to the fence this summer!

Participants can paint the panel on site or work on it at home.

Trent Bauman removes his panel while Hank supervises.

Three panels have already been installed, with more going up every coule days until the end of July. Then more in August as the second batch is painted.

Cheers to an artful summer!
