Since the introduction of the Rain Ready project in summer 2016, REEP Green Solutions has heard of some exciting rain saver project already underway in the Mount Hope neighbourhood and the contest winners’ project are progressing well. In the spring, there will be opportunities for some neighbourhood workdays to help with their projects.

In addition to the individual homeowner projects, the RAIN Smart Working Group is a place for those interested in guiding how RAIN Smart is rolled out at a neighbourhood level.

Thursday January 26, 2017

7:00 – 8:30pm

14 Braun Street, Extend-A-Family, WALES building (portable at the back of the parking lot)

Here are some proposed topics for the first night’s discussion:

  • Goals of the Working Group
  • Review of the process for residents to obtain incentives
  • Update on contest winners’ projects
  • Work parties to help guide residents through the incentives process and provide support for those who want to do the work themselves. One of these work parties will be on Saturday May 20 at the home of the Rempel family on Waterloo Street who were our 2nd prize winners in our Front Yard Makeover contest
  • Investigate possible sites for projects on municipal land or in the boulevards

See you there – and, bring a friend! For more information, contact Patrick Gilbride at REEP Green.
