When I sent a ‘save-the-date’ notice at the end of March about the spring PARTS Midtown meeting, you rushed over to your calendar to mark the date, right? Right, I knew you would.
If you need a refresher, here’s the ‘need-to-know’ details:
PARTS is initiated by the Planning Department of the City of Kitchener and will guide future development and investment in the area around rapid transit stops. The study encompasses an area within a 10 minutes walk of the transit stop – which, in our case, is the Grand River Hospital stop.
PARTS addresses issues such as land use planning, streetscapes and infrastructure requirements and plans to address pedestrian, bicycle, transit and road issues
Join the PARTS: Midtown Public Information Centre #3 (PIC)
Thursday May 18 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm
Victoria Park Pavilion, 80 Schneider Avenue
To refresh your memory on PARTS, visit the project pages here.
The evening will follow an open format, so feel free to drop by at any time to view materials, meet with a member of the project team, and provide your comments and feedback.
IMPORTANT: This is the last PIC before Planning Staff brings the final PARTS: Midtown & Rockway Plans to the Planning & Strategic Initiatives Committee in August 2017.
After the PIC on Thursday evening, there will be an opportunity to provide feedback online, but it’s not quite the same as seeing the big maps up close and being able to ask your questions directly to staff in attendance. This is a great opportunity to see the process of planning for change in our neighbourhood. Better yet, an opportunity PARTICIPATE in shaping the change.
See you there!
