Want to get to know more of your neighbours? Think it would be cool to know the names of everyone on your street? Midtown is already known for its neighbourliness, but starting this summer we’d like to kick it up a notch.
You may have heard that we’re looking for “Block Connectors” in the neighbourhood (if not, read all about it on that link). Right now we’re in the brainstorming phase of this project, adapting to the specific needs of midtown, and working to create a long-term plan to build community by making individual connections.
If you would like to help with the planning, and/or are interested in becoming a block connector, join us on one or more of the following dates for an info session and discussion:
Thursday, June 22, 6pm, Ambrosia
Thursday, July 20, 6pm, Ambrosia
Monday, August 7, 7pm, location TBD
For the first two dates, we will meet at Ambrosia Pastry Co. on Roger St. for truckeatscooltreats at 6pm to grab dinner or dessert, and then we’ll head over to another location around the corner. If you would like to eat beforehand, please arrive at Ambrosia at 6:30pm.
