Did you know NYC has more trees than Kitchener?

Yes it’s true!  According to a recent article in the Record, Kitchener’s tree canopy covers 26% of our city, whereas New York City’s covers 36 percent.  In response to the many challenges facing our urban forest, the City of Kitchener has proposed a draft plan to improve tree management and protection on both public and private lands.  The plan is up for comment until June 29th.  Many view our trees as an iconic feature of our neighbourhood, so make your voices heard by taking feedback survey!
