Changes coming for 91 Moore Ave

91 Moore Avenue is the current location of Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region in our Mount Hope neighbourhood. You might recall that the building was purchased in 2018 by Kitchener Cemeteries.

This currently brown brick building is located next to the Kitchener-owned and operated Mount Hope Cemetery and will be transformed by Kitchener Cemeteries to provide expanded cemetery services to the community in the near future.

This year, exterior renovations are planned for the deteriorating facade. Construction is expected to begin June 2021 and finish by October 2021. A transformation indoors will follow within the next five years.

A rendering of the renovated exterior of the building includes modern white panels with new windows and black accents.

When complete, the building will feature indoor niches for urns, a bookable community room which will be used for family gatherings, memorial services and other events and office space for staff.
