Add this to your weekend schedule, because it’s your last chance to see this art exhibit at 44 Gaukel Creative Workspace, Downtown Kitchener.
We’ve Been Here is a photography & poetry exhibit created by eight youth in Kitchener (7 Indigenous and 1 non-Indigenous) who participated an intensive photography, poetry and social justice mentorship program.
Several of the youth also visited the Uniroyal Goodrich Park this summer with Wisahkotewinowak and White Owl Native Ancestry as part of the Expanding our Relations community project.
There’s a strong chance you will be inspired by their stories, images and spirit. Chances are that you will learn a few new things from their young, honest voices.
See the work at 44 Gaukel Street on Saturday November 20 & Sunday November 21 between 12-5pm.
