Patrick Gilbride & Mary Jane Patterson from REEP Green Solutions will be in the neighbourhood to present the winners of the Rain Ready Front Yard Makeover contest!
Date & Time: Monday August 22, 2016 – 7 pm to 8:30 pm*
Location: Guelph Street Community Garden
How to get there:
The Guelph St. Community Gardens are located in Uniroyal Goodrich Park on Guelph Street between Weber and Waterloo streets. The park is accessible by public transit via the GRT #8 route & iXpress route #200 , or by bike. If you choose to drive, there is street parking available along Guelph or Waterloo streets.
What to expect:

don’t worry… the prizes are much better than these plastic yo-yos! Draw of the 1st ($10,000) and 2nd ($1,500) grand prize winners in each neighbourhood from the 20 finalists that were selected at random from all of the contest entries.
- Launch of our new RAIN Coach, who will be providing consultations with the contest finalists. RAIN Coach consultations will be available at no cost to residents of Lakeside and Mount Hope starting in 2017.
- After the announcement there will be a walking tour to visit the front yard of the Mount Hope grand prize winner to see it before its transformation. Tour stops will also include some shining examples of rain ready yards in the neighbourhood.
- Refreshments will be provided.
