Uh… fun!! Our neighbourhood is so lucky!
Sandra Dunn, of Two Smiths, is creating the public art piece that will be installed in the green space at the corner of Guelph & Weber Street. And we can help!! The piece is a 50’ long public art sculpture commissioned by the City of Kitchener – of a giant sewing needle piercing ripples of fabric.
Sandra invites members of the community to come and forge additional large sewing needles that will be embedded in the garden wall surrounding part of the sculpture. You might recall that Sandra also hosted a community forging event last October a the Breithaupt Community Centre.
